Eric Puchner’s new novel DREAM STATE is Oprah’s next Book Club pick

Associate Professor Eric Puchner’s new novel, Dream State, was released this week. Among the book’s fans is Oprah Winfrey, who has chosen Dream State as next month’s Book Club pick. Professor Puchner appeared on CBS Mornings with Oprah to unveil her selection and talk about the novel. Puchner and Oprah also joined a live audience in New York to “discuss the book’s themes of time, family, addiction, climate change, and so much more.” You can watch that conversation on Oprah’s YouTube channel here.

Nearer to home, Puchner will be reading and discussing Dream State with fellow Writing Seminars faculty member Danielle Evans on Sat, Feb. 22 at Bird in Hand in Charles Village. And later this semester, Professor Puchner will read in the Writing Seminars Reading Series, which is open to the public on Wed, April 2nd.
