Alexis Sears, BA ’17, Wins the 2021 Donald Justice Poetry Prize

The Writing Seminars is pleased to announce that Alexis Sears, BA ’17, has been named the winner of the 2021 Donald Justice Poetry Prize by Autumn House for her book Out of Order.

Sears’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Cortland ReviewHopkins ReviewCimarron ReviewBirmingham Poetry Review, and elsewhere. She was a 2019 Sewanee Writers’ Conference MFA scholar, and she was a finalist for the Vassar Miller and New Criterion poetry prizes.  

Out of Order is her first book and was chosen by this year’s judge, Quincy Lehr.
