The Writing Seminars congratulates Professor Dora Malech whose poem “All the Stops” from The Southampton Review was chosen by Tracy K. Smith, guest editor of The Best American Poetry 2021, to be included in the anthology. The Best American Poetry 2021 will be published by Scribner in September 2021.  

In addition, Malech’s chapbook, Time Trying, was commissioned by Tupelo Press for its anthology Four Quartets: Poetry in the Pandemic. Published by Tupelo Press in December 2020, it’s available in hard cover and paperback alongside chapbook folios by poets that include Yusef Komunyakaa, Shane McCrae, Jimmy Santiago Baca, and Mary Jo Bang.
