Kate Robinson, M.F.A. ’12, Awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Katherine Robinson, M.F.A ’12, has been awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship to pursue a research PhD in English at Cambridge University. Endowed by Bill and Melinda Gates, the Gates Scholarship enables American and international students to study at Cambridge and seeks to foster a commitment both to academic leadership and to creating positive social impact.  At Cambridge, Kate will be researching the influence of early Celtic literature and mythology on Ted Hughes’s poetry. She will be writing her dissertation at Pembroke College, where Ted Hughes took his undergraduate Anthropology degree.
