Writing Seminars Faculty, Students, and Graduates to Appear at the Baltimore Book Festival

Writing Seminars faculty member Alice McDermott will read from her novel Someone at the Baltimore Book Festival on Saturday, September 27 at 1 pm. The reading, part of the Literary Salon series, will take place at the Baltimore Inner Harbor stage on Rash Field.

Also presenting at the festival will be Writing Seminars faculty member Jean McGarry. McGarry will participate in the PEN/Faulkner Writers in Schools panel, scheduled for Friday, September 26 at 2 pm. The venue will be the Ivy Bookshop Stage, located on Rash Field.

On Sunday, September 28, Writing Seminars graduate Callie Siskel (MFA 2013) and current second-year MFA students Amanda Gunn and Bobby Mitchell will participate in the MFA/University Writers Slam, along with emerging writers from Notre Dame of Maryland University, Towson University, and the University of Maryland. The event will take place from 2 to 4 pm at the Ivy Bookshop Stage.
