Matt Morton, M.F.A. ’14, Chosen as a 2017 National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellow

Congratulations to Writing Seminars graduate Matt Morton (MFA 2014) on being chosen as a 2017 National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellow. Morton is one of 37 fellows chosen from a pool of 1,836 applicants.

Morton is currently a Robert B. Toulouse Doctoral Fellow in English at the University of North Texas, and an associate editor for 32 Poems magazine. He is the recipient of the Sycamore Review Wabash Prize for Poetry, an Owen Scholars Fellowship from JHU, the Carol Houck Smith Scholarship from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the John Hollander Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
