Amelia Morris (BA Writing Seminars 2003) has placed her first book, Bon Appetempt: A Coming of Age Story with Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group. Described by Kirkus Reviews as “a refreshing take on growing up and coming to terms with the joys and travails of family, career, and navigating the kitchen,” Bon Appetempt combines personal narrative with actual recipes. Morris’s writing has also appeared in The Los Angeles Times and The Splendid Table, as well as on saveur.com and bonappetit.com. Morris holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she received the Margaret Shannon Morton Fellowship. Bon Appetempt will be published in February 2015.
